One-of-a-kind Hats and Headpieces ~ “Le Beau Jardin”
One-of-a-Kind Hats and Headpieces is a millinery collection by MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS® that debuted in Spring 2025.
For the first time in 27 years, Cape Cod milliner and fabric artist, Sally Faith Steinmann offered a gallery collection of couture hats that were one-of-a-kind collectibles.
Sally’s source of inspiration for this premier collection, “Le Beau Jardin”, was her own garden. Whether it was a rose, a dahlia or a vine that inspired her, each hat began there in her garden and then blossomed back in her studio as the creative process revealed the millinery form, color and trim details of each hat.
Luxury Hats To Be Treasured
The Latin phrase, “sui generis” means something that stands on its own; something that is a one-of-a-kind, unlike anything else.
And that is just what this collection offered – luxury hats designed for those with an appreciation for quality, handcrafted couture millinery. All of the hats included here were handmade in the finest silks and linens. Innovative hat trims, and beadwork are all part of this new gallery of hats. Eco-friendly fabrics were used whenever possible.
No Two Hats or Headpieces Are Alike
Perhaps most importantly, each hat in this collection will never be made again. Once each hat has sold, Sally will not duplicate the exact same design.
Yet even though all of the hats and headpieces here are “sui generis”, they all have one thing in common that reflects the essence of MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS®. Each chapeau makes its own individual statement that is timelessly classic, sophisticated, and often – whimsical!

All the Details
The hats and headpieces in this collection are perfect for the Kentucky Derby, weddings, Royal Ascot, garden parties and fancy teas. Hats that will be treasured, reminding you of your most cherished memories forever. Some may also be purchased as collectibles, or passed along as keepsakes.
Sizing: All of the hats in this new gallery collection are created with a custom “Silver Lining” silk insert for size adjustment. Please send us your hat size in inches to ensure that a particular hat is a good fit. For instructions on how to measure for hat size please click here. The fascinators and cocktail hats attach with elastic and combs for easy wear and stability.
