Custom Hat Commissions for the 2027 Calendar

MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS® custom milliner, Sally Faith Steinmann is now accepting couture commissions for the upcoming 2027 Wedding and Derby seasons. Ongoing commissions are also being accepted for other special occasions.

Achieving true elegance and a signature style is a process that cannot be rushed. To ensure that each millinery piece receives Sally’s meticulous attention to detail, we accept a strictly limited number of custom commissions each year.

Spring 2027: The Derby & Bridal Spotlight

Sally is currently scheduling clients who are preparing for the Spring 2027 horse racing and wedding season. Whether you are need a one-of-a-kind chapeau for the 153rd “Run for the Roses”, Royal Ascot racecourse, or a wedding celebration, we recommend that you contact Sally 8 to 12 weeks in advance of your spring season deadline. This will allow adequate time for consultation, sourcing materials and shipment of your finished piece.

Ongoing Collaborations

Beyond the spring season, our studio accepts exclusive hat commissions throughout the year. We look forward to collaborating with you on designs for summer soirées, autumn weddings, Concours d’Elegance events including the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, holiday festivities, and winter galas. We recommend a minimum lead time of 4 to 8 weeks in advance of your deadline.

The Process is a Collaborative One

• Private Consultation: A dedicated session is recommended to discuss your vision for a custom hat and to coordinate wardrobe, event dress code, and other key elements for your special event.

• Sourcing & Creation: Sally’s wearable art pieces use the finest silk, cotton and linen fabrics, silk organza feathers, and embellishments. Clients are encouraged to share fabric swatches, sketches, or photographs that might help in the creation of their custom hat visions.

• Timeline: Due to the intricate, handcrafted nature of Sally’s work, please allow a minimum lead time of 4–8 weeks once the spring season has passed.
