La Vie en Rose Hat
La Vie en Rose hat by MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS® is a wide brim design inspired by one of Sally’s favorite songs as sung by Cyndi Lauper. The brim style for this hat is unique. Shaped and pinched in front for an asymmetrical look, it is très chic!
A large, delicate rose in a curling style is the main centerpiece, carefully handstitched to the asymmetrical front brim.
The rose is framed with a medley of two-tone green silk organza leaves that have been topstitched.
Smaller leaves on slender stems extend from behind the rose for an added layer of elegance and curvaceous drama!
And the back of the hat is no less elegant than the front. A topstitched, pleated sash in pesto green dupioni silk with pale green silk lining surrounds the crown of the hat.
A custom button was created combining a peridot button layered with tiny matching glass beads.
Finally, a small red silk organza rose curl with three green silk organza leaves was carefully fashioned. This fabric rose sculpture was stitched to the crimped triple brim in the back, providing the finishing touch to an exquisitely balanced design.
