A delicious stillness filled the morning saltmarsh this Labor Day.
A lone Snowy Egret sharing a tidal pool with a Great Blue, was foraging madly; building up fat stores to fuel its journey south…
While further along the trail young turkeys gobbled to one another under pine boughs.
And Common Reeds danced to the music of a gentle sea breeze.
The stillness broken only by the whistling of a Greater Yellowlegs in the distance, calling “kew-kew-kew”.
As if telling me, “Get busy, get busy, it’s time to immerse ~ and CREATE!!!“
We have Turkeys who go through our
backyard every couple of days. We love watching the deer also.
