The Peaches and Cream hat by MAGGIE MAE DESIGNS® is a showstopping wide brim design. Sally’s inspiration for this pastel floral chapeau was a basketful of wild roses. She chose a hat base of champagne dupioni silk with a matching silk lining for this scrumptious hat.
A double ruffled brim was fashioned out of ivory silk organza and hand sewn to the brim edge. A matching fancy braiding was attached where the two join, adding dimension and a lovely finishing touch.
A medley of wild roses was stitched in a mix of peach, blush and ivory silk organza with silk-covered button centers. The petals for each wild rose were topstitched with complementing color thread.
Each wild rose was carefully hand sewn to a long leafy vine made of dusty sage and prasiolite silks. This created a trim design that reaches beyond the hat foundation.
A sash was created in two-tone dusty sage and prasiolite, then topstitched with cream thread and stitched to the crown of the hat.
A single large wild rose in peach silk organza topstitched with peach thread adorns the back seam. In an elegant way it surprises us all with one last, luscious glimpse of garden basket beauty…

Hat Size: this hat was created with a custom “Silver Lining” silk insert that allows for size adjustment. Please send us your hat size in inches to ensure this hat is a good fit. For instructions on how to measure hat size click here.
Dimensions: 3 inch tall crown, 7 inch wide brim (including ruffle brim); entire hat measures 23 inches end to end.
